Many years ago our grandmother asked me to be responsible for the music at her funeral. She had specific instructions for me to follow, but I asked for one exception. I wanted to write a song to honor her.

Years later, my sister Kathy asked if I would write a song for her for her celebration of life. She too had very specific instructions for how it was to be performed.
